Servers and Virtual PC's

These devices are normualy stored in somesort of data center in server racks. Servers and virtual pc's are primarely used by buisnesses that require to have large throughput of data whether that is customers using a website like amazon and the servers having to handel all of the data users are using or some sort of internal service in a buisness that has a lot of data and files transferued daily. These tasks are more of what is done by a server, So what is a Virtual PC? A virtual pc is basicaly just a PC but is virtulised inside of another PC or server. 

So how can we manage servers and virtual PC's? We can use an array of diffrent monitoring and system managment tools and software to maintian these servers and virtual PC's. On a server it is very important as we need to make sure that there is no suspicous activity

Cloud Storage

Cloud storage is used by millions of people every seccond of the day as it is a very useful assest in our everyday lifes. But this type of storage needs to have monitoring software to prevent maliuious software from reaching main servers and ifustructures on the network that the storage is hosted on.

Mobile Devices

Most of us use a mobile device on a daily basis so these devices are engraned into how we communicate and interact with the world around us. This also means network admins have to be able to monitor these devices especialy if they belong to an organization. One way we can do this is by using software called Mspy. Mspy is a monotoring software which allows a user to be able to view many features on the device such as what services are being used on that device and what messages and photos are being sent, recived and saved which can hopfuly prevent malicous activity from happing.

Laptops

We use laptops on a daily basis throughout buisnesses and organaziations. We can use software to be able to monitor useage of the device such as web search history and what the system is being used for. Laptops can be vunirable devices so we can also put software GPS trackers on them to keep an eye on the location of the device and make sure that company equipment is not being mistreted.

Desktops

Desktops are very simular to laptops in the sense of that they are used in a very simular way. We can use software to track web and software use and also block softare and websites on a device even when off the company network to help prevent foreign threats from accessing the system.

Section 2:

Performance monitoring and managment tools

We can use a viearity of diffrent software to monitor and manage computer systems such as SolarWinds monitoring software. SolarWinds is a software that allows computer admins to install it on a computer system and monitor computer usasge such as CPU, RAM, storage and more usage on a system. It can show what loadworks are being done the most such as video rendoring or word processing.

 

Provision of user desktop computing by various means, including server virtualisation with thin client computing and web-based applications

Using tools like remote desktop software can allow a user to be able to use a virtual or physical PC without the need of having the computer with the user but the full power of like a computer designed to render out video quickly. The main advantages of this is that anyone can have access to the system easily and quickly and not require the user to physicaly connect to the system.

Tools used to create and remotely deploy desktop disk images 

One of the best tools tools to create and remotely deploy desktop images is smart depoly. Smart deploy is a modern software to be able to remotely manage and deploy images on systems as some systems will require updates and this is an easy way to be able to force important updates to a system. It also is great if there is a virus on a system as the OS can simply be overwriten and be virus free. 

Asset management, including software licenses 

 Snow licence manager software is a useful piece of softaware for any IT admin. This software is very useful as it allows for an admin to have all licence keys in one big secure database and allow users to have access to uniueqe keys for that user but only to keys they are allowed to access.

 

Remote desktop access and control

 One of the biggest remote desktop access tools is team viewer. Team viewer is a great software for system admins as it allows them to access systems easily because users on a system will need support at sometime and having this software preinstalled can make it very easy for an admin to control as system easily and quickly.
